2020 was a year of education for me. Sitting around is not something I care to do much of at all so when forced with down time, I used it to add more real estate skill sets to assist my clients in their real estate needs and support the industry I have grown to love.
Designations and certifications were the way to do just that. So what is one of the most important subjects for my clients? Price! Price matters! Everything sells for its best value at the right price! So to add to the 20 years of pricing homes in the Lake George/Glens Falls region I took on the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA)!
You will notice in my email signature and advertisements I have shared that I received the National Associations of REALTORS designation of Pricing Strategy Advisor. Pricing your home in todays market is crucial to get the best possible terms. Location, condition, market trends and historical buyer reactions to everything from economic growth to the benefit of updates, are information a real estate broker gains from going thru this process hundreds of times.
It is true each sale is different and although the systems are the same, the human element has endless possibilities of life situations that can make transactions very intersting!
Pricing homes is not completely data driven and often local knowledge comes into play as well as experience. Knowing a beloved area or one that is known to have wet basements can really affect your clients outcome so gaining as much info as possible about a neighborhood is important.
